If you need help with it, let me know. I'll be out for a while but back later. I'm not an 'expert' at websites, but I've worked with them for quite a while.
Done and here is what I said "Are you proud of yourself, because you sure shouldn't be! Do you honestly feel you have made this a better, more sane world? Because you haven't! I know you're just jumping on the "guns are bad" bandwagon because it is a cool thing now. I am a veteran of the Vietnam war and your inane actions cause me to wonder why I risked my life for herd follower like you. You're alive because I carried a gun and did what my country asked me to do. And now you spit on me, and the 55 thousand plus that didn't make it home. I hope you're very proud, but know in my world you're not an American. Come try and cancel me!
Here's their response I got on LinkedIn - "Hi Edward, Thank you for reaching out. I think there is a clear misunderstanding that I have spent a fair amount of today trying to research. As I have learned, The Gun Writer is a column and blog site formerly published by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. The Herald-Tribune has recently migrated to a new digital platform and as part of that transition, a handful of out-of-date sites or those with little audience, were not migrated to the new platform. No content has been destroyed. All of that work was created by Herald-Tribune staff and is owned by the Herald-Tribune and the Herald-Tribune continuers to have access to it in its archives. The decision on what content to migrate to the new platform was based on the reasons above and was made by local staff. I know this because I asked about it today, when I first learned of this in an email I received from a reader this morning. I hope this clears it up for you. Please do let me know if you have any further questions. Many thanks again for reaching out. All best, Maribel"
And just additionally - she wrote "a handful of out-of-date sites or those with little audience [were removed]." Well we know the information is not out of date and The Gun Writer has 10,044 followers on Facebook alone. As a business traveler, I can certainly say anyone who feels the USA Today "newspaper" is real new needs a reality check. It's the lowest form of media out there and why it is given away for free to the masses at hotels. Then again, if your newspaper and owners want to push an agenda, then giving it away for free to the masses are asses crowd isn't a bad game plan for them.

I found your old site on the way back machine. I think you might be able to recover your content.
It's clunky, but I am going to try.

Thanks, brother.
I'm back.
Have you had a chance to see if it'll work for you?

Thanks, Rick, and thanks for your service.
Done and done!
I'm tempted to post the email I sent to Maribel.
Go for it.
You mean all that great Gun Writer TV with Mike and Lee is gone? Dammit man.......
I'm working it hard, bro. (Great to hear from ya.)
Glad to see you are back at it. And free from behind enemy lines.
How did you not retain control of your website?
They set it up. I was told I owned it by a former editor. Then they took it down.
It has to be backed up somewhere. Nothing dies on the interwebs.
I'd have your attorney politely ask them what happened to your property.
Always.... ALWAYS.... keep a personal back-up AND an off-site back-up of all your work, data, records, etc.
NEVER be dependent on the assumed good-will of others, be they family, friends co-workers or employers.
Hi Lee. Sorry to hear the news. I wondered why the URL was dead. Shoot me an email. jboch@gunssavelife.com
