Thank you, Lee, for another excellent article. It's news like this which provides me hope that True Americans, who understand that the USA exists because millions of Americans paid the ultimate price to protect and defend the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, will have the ability and opportunity to live in a state that stands ready to continue as Patriots of the original charter, here in Florida.

.

A second civil war is being waged by the enemies from within. It is the anti-Americans who embrace democracy mob-rule over a Constitutional Republic, that are the threat against the USA as founded. Florida's citizens must be educated to be able to prepare to make a choice between living free or living as slaves to Global Socialism as dictated by a tyrannical unamerican force.

.

We defeated this tyrannical force 159 years ago; it took four years to accomplish this victory. We must prepare to repeat this victory.

Our Veterans are a very valuable . Special Operations is the ultimate, and Vets with other skills, especially medical, logistics & supply should be part of the State Guards as well.

Very good news, indeed and worthy of State Funding for State Emergencies.

Would love to see this expanded among the States. Louisiana already has the Cajun Navy - a private organization of citizens devoted to volunteering their own time, equipment, and funds to helping their fellow citizens in time of need. They have been graciously welcomed by the Governors of both Texas and Florida (and others) when hundreds of CN volunteers responded to natural disasters in those states. It's my understanding that Gov. DeSantis ran with this concept in resurrecting the Florida State Guard. He better organized the concept by providing it with State structure, funding, equipment, and authority. Didn't know they had organized a weapons trained response unit within the FSG, but with all the former special forces / law enforcement veterans we have living in this State, that was an excellent idea. When the SHTF we'll be happy we have them.

This is good stuff! I flew the Mi-17 for a while in Afghan. Hard to find qualified guys in the US. I think I’ll ask if they need an old pilot. I’ll work for free to help this movement!

I recognize that I'm more than a little biased, but the US military for the most part, has been trained to make decisions without, or with the least possible, emotional influence. This alone will appear to be in conflict with most civilian influence. Unfortunately, that influence is pervading our modern military and causing great harm.

Special operators are one of the few segments left that haven't been so badly affected by the wokeness. They're going to be made even further targets of the 'media' (or what is currently passing for it) for any and every real or imagined scenario.

Having the ability to act or react independently (what a strange concept of freedom!) is in total contradiction to the media's reason to exist. They don't want anyone to have even the desire to act independently. It will be seen as a threat, which actually - it is. They don't want people to be able to think on their own, either.

Considering how far the Administrative State has taken the conversion and misappropriation of the agencies of the Executive Branch and even the US Military - from the JCS & DOD on down, they're going to put every obstacle they can think of in the way of the FSG. After that fails, they're going to dilute the charter one piece at a time and call it negotiating a compromise. They're going to try to compromise the new Guard into oblivion.

This isn't actually 'new' federalism, it's the same as it was before but with fewer people understanding why it's a foundational component of the nation. Another benefit that hasn't been brought up yet - if each state is more able to provide better service using their own Guard, the influence from the federal government will be lessened and the tax burden will be kept from increasing as rapidly.

Ah, remember when the media lost their screeching minds when DeSantis reactivated the FL State Guard, claiming the governor was creating a personal army?

And completely ignoring that New York, California, Washington, and 17 other states have active state guard units, at least 9 of which include weapons training.

More armed agents of the state is never the right answer. Instead, we should be getting open carry, campus carry, and the repeal of gun free zones. A $1.2 million no bid contract is a waste of tax payer funds.

similarly, there are private schools, and public schools- funny how they don't call them government schools, wonder why....!

I love this. More states need to be self reliant in providing for their own needs and protection. Sadly I’ve seen this administration withhold critical services during natural disasters (ie; Hurricane Ian) and make it political. States need to take their sovereignty back, and their money. I would like to see more states do this, and then join forces when needed to help each other out.
