But when you have a real threat of a potential school shooter like in Parkland FL what did the authorities do about it? THEY let it happen.

That list of items in the threat assessment was previously used to identify kids that likely needed help or counseling instead of threatening them. Instead of providing more for Eli's needs, the 'authorities' marked him, ostracized him and tossed him aside.

The actions taken in California and across the country, are indications that people are in authority without the proper skills and training. They're probably 'certificated' but the certificates have been made worthless by the indoctrination they received which replaced the education they should have had. Colleges and universities across the country simply process and indoctrinate weak minded individuals that feel and fear. The very few who graduate with a real education have to keep a low profile or they'll be tossed aside as well.

Actions like those taken by Eli's school are based on fear, loathing and emotion rather than rational thought and careful evaluation.

This is symbolic of rule by feelings. It's a terrible danger to the nation and the world.

THANK YOU Lee for sharing Pagunsan's story here and listing the criminaly broad Red Flag list. The actions taken against this individual are unacceptable and I'm so glad you shared this real story. I've already shared it with my 17 year old son, who likes video games and history. Pagunsan really nailed it saying the Red Flag list is so broad it incriminates just about all teenage boys. This is unacceptable and I increasingly find myself as a mother of a son, identifying all the ways the prevailing political landscape seems to attack men, and the entire construct of masculinity. I see this attempt backfiring over time, however. Pardon the pun.

Great article. Shows the toll of these red flag laws and its abuse.

Pagunsan, I am very sorry to hear this happened to you. This was very wrong, in many ways. I welcome you to this great state of Arizona. We need more people like you and less Californians who have the socialist, police-state, mentality.
