This is the first I've heard of this stealth gun control group. Putting oneself or an at risk family member voluntarily into the ATF system with a 4473 for mental health concerns sounds like a horrible idea. Their financial troubles are proof the wise American public thinks i their business model is a bad idea. you want a bad situation to be made worse, invite the government in to help. Schadenfreude.
Chris: if a person *has* the firearm in the first place, they've already filled out a 4473 to purchase it. If that person then wants to store their guns—even if they are motivated by the mental health of a spouse, sibling, or child and not their own—only they can temporarily transfer ownership with another 4473, so they're not involving any other family members. You also may not be aware that neither HMG nor partner FFLs makes any inquiry about a client's reasoning for wanting to store their guns whatsoever. I hate the government and gun control as much and possibly more than the next guy, but this isn't it, man. In fact, the alternative might be psychiatric commitment which can disqualify a person from purchasing guns in the future.
Mr. Williams, thank you so much for spreading the word about Hold My Guns. Sarah Joy's mission is one that desperately deserves support.
I could not agree more, Christian.

Huh?

Not sure, but I am thinking you did not fully read the article. Where did you stop reading?
