In the beginning, it could have seemed that this was a (stupid) unintentional abuse of people's rights. After all the delay, side-stepping, bobbing and weaving, it is now obvious that this denial of the Second Amendment was intentional (and even more stupid). My opinion is that any politician or l.e.o. involved in this civil rights violation should be prosecuted to the full extent allowed by law, and that they should be fired. We hold (or should be able to) our elected officials and law enforcement to a higher standard. If they cannot/will not perform to the highest level, they should be looking for another job.
What is worse than being a tyrant? Being a cowardly tyrant. If the Police Chief believed he was acting in accordance with the law then take stand and state your case. Clearly he knows he is in violation and that is why he is hiding and blocking records. I would have far more regard for him if he either defended his actions or admitted guilt and took his medicine like a man. He does not have the courage to do either. Coward.
