New Jersey’s Attorney General is ordering firearm products banned in the Garden State, and then extorting thousand of dollars from out-of-state firms through lawsuits.
I hope the fine is symbolic and not at all enforceable. Any idea if that is the case? Seems like a slippery slope to allow a state to fine a business from another state. Good on them for respecting privacy! The Northeast is out of control.
I know those folks well and their response is not unexpected. Which brings me to Florida. It seems to me that industries in Florida ought to be protected from frivolous out of state law suits. All of the legislators that represent the district that 22mods resides in, federal, state and local, should be loudly voicing their outrage and demanding protective legislation.
Exactly how many people has the NJ Attorney General created jobs for?
I grew up in NJ. I saw it go from a state full of farms and friendly people to a third-world country. The only asshole in NJ bigger than the AG is the governor.
On the upside there's at least one staunch A2 defender in NJ (can't recall his name at the moment), so the story may get out.
The whole thing stinks worse than rotten fish. Standard-capacity magazines are legal in Florida, but not in NJ. So anyone in NJ buying one is breaking the law. I suppose NJ is maintaining that the seller should have refused to sell - so retailers are supposed to be nannys now? NJ is blaming the seller - which kind of sounds like blaming the manufacturer when their gun is used in a shooting.
I can honestly say, the best view of NJ is in your rear-view mirror as you are leaving.
No one is happier then me!! Was planning my escape for decades; all the pieces fell into place in 2011. The bizarre thing is, you don't realize *how bad* living in NJ is until you break free. I still have friends there that "exist".
Look at the new jersey attorney general. It doesn't speak well for new jersey's electorate, IF the
election was legitimate !!!!!!!!!! This is a FRIVOLOUS lawsuit and new jersey should be slapped with a hefty fine. However, I doubt that our GUTLESS politicians will do anything. I wish someone
would subject them to a COSTLY counter lawsuit. As I recall, new jersey has been in a financial
crisis for many years because of their corrupt politicians and bureaucrats and this might teach them to keep THEIR CRAP in their own backyard !!!!!!!

BTW, how is Florida Constitutional Carry doing?

Glad you made it out, bro.

I'm no lawyer but it would seem to me that a FL business would have to suit filed against them in the state of FL.
