Before I left “crime ridden” NYC, in discussion w/ my cardiologist, I mentioned my move to “the free state of Florida” and getting a concealed carry. The doctor openly shared that he had “the rare” NYC conceal carry license for self protection. Self protection is the “ultimate” human right. What the anti gun folks ignore are how many more citizens would die from unchecked criminal assaults due to becoming unarmed “easy prey”. An armed citizenry MINIMIZES the criminal’s options.
Funny how the medical community is onboard with “saving lives through gun control” when they refuse to acknowledge the 5700 pound gorilla in the room, deaths from medical mistakes.
It is worth noting that the American Medical Association only represents one sixth of all physicians ( https://arthursido.substack.com/p/the-american-marxist-association ). My father was a family physician and he dropped his membership in the AMA more than 30 years ago because they were already lurching far to the left politically.
The world is becoming more alike our fiction than our dreams. Anybody read the story or see the movie from "The Time Machine" by H. G. Wells, published in 1895 (and one of the best movie presentations of it made by MGM in 1960) ?
The Leftist Elites are doing their best to turn most of society into the Eloi. Fodder for the Morlocks. The Left has thoroughly infiltrated all elements of our social and government institutions. They have corrupted them to beyond the point of failure and maybe beyond any hope of repair.
Gun Control = obtaining discipline thru training that results in accurately and timely hitting your target.
