The longtime instructor, author and entrepreneur co-wrote a lengthy column with a former president of The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, which calls for more gun control.
Lee, I'm glad you made it through the entire piece. You obviously have a stronger tolerance for shenanigans than I do. It's also my humble opinion that Ammoland DOES bear some responsibility for that trainwreck of a piece. They willingly provided the platform for the message dissemination.
Have you ever met someone or seen them on the tube and thought "man, he strikes me as kind of oily...sneaky...untrustworthy"? The first time I saw WJC speak in '91 after coming back to Germany from Iraq, this was my impression. The first time I saw BHO speak, I got the same impression. When I had 5 minutes of actual 1 on 1 facetime with Rubio a few years ago, same impression. Mr Pincus might be glad to have fallen into the same bracket as the 3 that were just mentioned, as I got the same impression from him.
I am rather unforgiving in these matters. No quarter will be asked, none will be given. The ONLY thing that assaulting and choking the 2A does at this point is to create a hundred million new felons. Repulsive.
I used to follow him on Instagram until I realized he was not really in the fight for us. I live in Jacksonville and he is based nearby in St Augustine so I followed him to see what he was all about. I engaged in conversation about gun rights and the political arena right before November during the last "election" cycle. He was very vague and squishy with his chosen words, but it seemed like he thought voting Democrat was the lesser of 2 evils this time around because orange man bad and the dems "won't really take our guns". I engaged in conversation trying to get him to come out and say it outright. He then tried to flip it on me as if I was one of those "I believe in 2a, but..." people. I doubled down and pointed out that there isn't a single Dem in power that has ever fought for our gun rights. The conversation ended right there, and I had a strong feeling that he wasn't really playing for the same team. I unfollowed him shortly thereafter when I saw yet another squishy dem apologist post by him.
I gave Rob a chance, having first learned of him watching shows produced by Micheal Bane (whom I have much trust in as a legitimate 2A supporter). I figured if Micheal Bane vetted him he must be a good guy. Now? I think Micheal Bane is human and anyone can make mistakes. Rob is a capitalist, which is fine. But I want a 2A purist first, capitalist second. I think Rob likes the dollar bill and his perceived influence even more.... he seems to talk just to talk. And, honestly, his training is suspect. Not worthless mind you, but highly suspect. He either knows something none of us know, or he doesn't know what he doesn't know. He is no friend to the second amendment.
Pincus is entirely and ONLY out for what is best for Pincus. I left the Board of Save the Second because of my calling this out and being told "He's too big for us to lose." And now his article has caused another Board member to leave out of good conscience. Pincushion is nothing more than a Kardashian: an "influencer" famous for being famous, and, worse, in his case, add a snake oil salesman.
Lee the only change gun owners talk is change caliber or trigger LOL We are very progressive on ammo and triggers!
On a serious note, thank you. With everything that is published everyhwere, and I am a reader of Ammoland, I dont have the ability to read everything out there and might not have been aware of his position. I know what you are writing is opinion, but over th years of reading your articles I respect your opinion. This guy needs to go. He sounds like one of Florida's Senators or previous Governors, which is to say political opportunist.
I’m a firearms instructor and owner of a national ammunition distribution company. When I attended a national known instructor course, and heard Rob Pincus not ONCE but TWICE has thrown a students gun across a range. I at that moment determined Rob Pincus is a joke of a teacher, and I’d never take a class from him.
After reading this article. I’ve realized his whole persona is exactly that. A persona for likes, and monetary gain. Shame on you Rob. Hopefully the world sees you for what you are. A FRAUD!
I've engaged with Rob on social media a few times. I like him on some level but really think he is part of the crowd that says "I have my guns and I'd like to have special privileges over everyone else". He's also now a NRA hater. I know the nra has failed us but it's people like him that could help Save it
Unbelievable to say the least that Rob Pincus co-wrote this article. Thank you for highlighting the anti-gun agenda within it and exposing it to your readers. I wonder if Mark Walters will have a word or two to say about this. He used to have Pincus on as a guest speaker, like yourself.
First off......The term Quisling........great stuff, I'm glad someone's paying attention....
Secondly.....You can sure bet that if Rob Pincus is trying to insert himself into something, it's because he's working an angle. He's a Class A self-aggrandizing, huckster, shill and flim-flam man....I wouldn't trust him to guard an empty vending machine. For Pincus, the 2A is only a way to turn a quick buck and a route to a "Gunfighter" reputation he has never and will never earn.
That was both a fair and condemning article. I've met Rob Pincus several times at industry events. I've taken an abbreviated seminar class from him ( at a Paul Gomez benefit). I'm saddened to see him join with the gun control lobby. He's bright enough to know what he wrote and what it means.
Oh well, hope he enjoys our version of cancel culture. We can make you a Pariah in a matter of weeks. No gun company will ever want your name near their guns again. Have fun Rob.
Lee Williams is absolutely correct!! I will never compromise with the left ever!! No we can't all get along!! NO COMPROMISE, NO INFRINGEMENT-EVER!!! And if Rub Pincus wrote this because of the rise of suicide by gun; don't ever go there with me!! I LOST MY BROTHER IN LAW TO SUICIDE; BUT HE DIDN'T USE A GUN, HE HANGED HIMSELF!!! YES SUICIDE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE; BUT IT REALLY DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH GUNS IT'S ABOUT MENTAL ILLNESS!! I WILL NEVER VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER ANYTHING I OWN TO ANYONE NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE PERIOD!!!
If they want to get rid of our guns they can move to England, they don't have any and then they will be able to live in a country without guns. A bunch of idiots if you ask me. I thought Rob would stand up for firearms not fight us against them.
CW's are messy affairs as the society is rendered and divided. The "choices" seems to be: "Hug a democRat Bolshevik", "trust" a Repub., or Cling to your Bible and guns. I prefer the "bitter clinger" and "deplorables" option. No one lives forever in this mortal body, our personal integrity is more important than this immediate life.

Well said, brother. I'm still trying to figure out some of the things he said yesterday. And NO ONE seems to know why he wrote this. It's stunning.

That's the exact feeling I got from him when I spoke to him yesterday. Thanks, Damon.

Positioning his self for a continued career under gun control.

With the rise of distracted while driving accidents seemingly increasing, I believe we should ban seatbelts and airbags. For public safety.
