I'd almost be willing to come out of retirement to work on some of these investigations and committees.

In addition to reversing Biden executive decrees and ATF rules changes, any person involved in creation of and involvement with these decrees and/or rules changes should be charged in federal courts. These people have committed civil rights violations. These unethical government employees (paid with our tax dollars) have violated, at the least, the Second, Fifth and Forteenth Amendments . Simply, they have violated our God given, legally affirmed, Right to Keep and Bear Arms. ..."shall not be infringed."

The Church Committee was formed in 1975 to investigate abuses by the CIA, NSA, FBI and IRS. It found a massive amount of wrongdoing, which was released to the public in six voluminous reports.

Mr. Williams, I couldn’t agree more with your list of things that need to be done to course correct the ATF, but according to your words above, what has changed in the almost 50 years since the Church Commission?

The Commission found massive amounts of wrong doing; did heads roll? Were people sent to jail? Did personnel start obeying policies, procedures, and the law? What punishments were handed out? I suspect not enough to put the fear of God in these godless heathens and make them follow the Constitution and the law because it appears in my opinion nothing changed.

I’ve become very cynical in my old age, but here we are almost 50 years later and still slogging through the swill of the deep state. Carry on, sir; I appreciate your writings and work. I’m just looking for a better outcome. I agree with one of the other commenters, I’ll come out of retirement and put my police skills to work in an attempt to right the wrongs of this corrupt administration. God Bless!

How about just abolishing the ATF altogether? Restructure the FBI and the DOJ.
