Amen Lee, if one understands the US Constitution then no explanation is necessary and if one doesn’t understand the US Constitution then no explanation is possible. Perhaps he’s just another bloomberg parrot.
I got into a really funny argument on a FB page with a Canadian about basically the same topic. He was ranting about how easy it is for Americans to get guns, how everyone *wants* guns, and that they should be strictly controlled (as in Canada). My first post to the page was an invitation for anyone that was from a country *other than America* to STFU on something that didn't concern them. He then came back blathering that it *did* concern him, that by making guns so easily accessible in the US that they could easily be smuggled into Canada to cause mayhem. I pointed out to him that if that were the case, the failure lies with *his* border and law enforcement, not us. It's kind of like when Beetlejuice in Chicago said that gun violence there was because surrounding states had such lax gun laws, that people were getting them across state lines and coming back to commit violence. WTF?
I find it bothersome that other cultures feel the need to lecture us on what is not their business.
Indicative of a population that lives in lala land. How soon do the uneducated, oblivious masses forget the sacrifices that so many have made in defense of freedom. Preserving that freedom will always require a well maintained weapon with a good supply of ammunition. No matter what a misguided liberal person says.
Can’t be much of a historian if he is unaware that we beat the Brit’s ass over 150 years ago to uphold our GOD given right to defend ourselves with guns.
Thank God, he is in British hack. And probably has no idea we kicked their butts once and would gladly kick his again!

Exactly! Do we lecture them on how silly and strange their preoccupation is with the royals? Nope. Most of us just don't care.
Why do we care what Brits think? And for that matter any other country?
