The NSSF seems to be doing well, judging by the crowd of people at Shot earlier this year...

They do a great job. I can't imagine organizing something as big as SHOT, but it comes off seemlessly every year.

The Brits always seem to forget who loaned them weaponry though a lend-lease program when a certain dictator wanted to invade their islands. Otherwise, they sure as heck would be using umlauts in their correspondence.

And then they have the gall to dump those valuable weapons into the English Channel after the war. That's the kind of thanks we get for saving their behinds.

It wasn't just "lend-lease".

Prior to America's official involvement in WWII, the Brits were panicked over the possibility of a Nazi invasion. They had already surrendered their private firearms to the state - and there wasn't enough military hardware available to equip the home guard against beach landings and infiltrators.

That's when American gun owners - individuals - sent their own privately-owned firearms to the Brits to use to defend their towns and villages against potential destruction by the Hun.

Of note is the fact that these weapons were never returned. When the British government once again decreed that civilians ought not to possess the most effective means of self-defense, British subjects once again surrendered their arms - the arms sent to them by American citizens - to have them destroyed by chopping the receivers in half.

Such is the memory and gratitude of the British subjects. They have already forgotten that it wasn't just the American government that rode to their rescue. It was the American PEOPLE, individuals, giving up their own personally-owned firearms to give the Brits a fighting chance at survival.

How do you educate such a people? Do you let them grind under the heel of the next aggressor?

It very much reminds me of the push by females today to ban firearms (while denigrating men). When they face danger - when the bad man comes to their door - what should good men do? Swoop in and rescue those who have shown no qualms about abusing and disarming men? Or let them reap the fruits of the insanity they have sown?

Lest you think this is but a sexist rant, I will remind you that nearly 2/3 (62%) of Democrats are female. It truly is female insanity that is corrupting and destroying America and more specifically, trying to outlaw firearms in THIS Country.

Well said, brother.

@Michael Johnson, thank for that quick history lesson. I do seem to recall Americans giving up their personal firearms to help the Brits only to have them destroyed after the war was won.

Now look at what has become of the UK and especially London. IMHO, they are beyond educating...

Your comment being a sexist rant was the furtherest thing from my mind. Sometimes the truth is painful.

Great point. Not a lot of folks remember that.

The Guardian is just Pravda on the Thames. In early 2020, they were predicting over 2 million deaths in the US from Covid - no government -sponsored scare propaganda there! So UK citizens are disarmed while their country is being taken over by Albanian drug dealers , Pakistani "grooming gangs", and Islamic radicals. No thank you, and Mr

John Browning says "not here!"

Nobody tell the pants-wetting hoplophobes across the pond about the 2nd Amendment Foundation, Firearms Policy Coalition, Gun Owners of America... the grassroots orgs actually winning while the NRA pays for Wayne LaPierre's shopping trips and mistresses, or whatever.

I really don't understand it. English, Canadian, Australian people are constantly offering their opinion on America's political issues, typically without understanding them at all. I have never felt the urge to go to a UK or Canadian news site to offer my opinion as an American on their internal affairs.

"I don't think about you at all."

The Guardian is, at best, a Socialist propaganda outlet. It is hardly surprising that the author would join with our gun grabbing Socialists to produce a hit piece like that.

This story is pure trash — about as subtle as a naked Hunter Biden with a snootful of coca and a bedful of hookers and with a Gun in his hand!
