Of course JAMA would publish this ridiculous paper. The Journal of the American Medical Association published in 2016 a paper by the then President Barack Obama on the state of public health in the US. (Not peer reviewed.😉) No, JAMA is strictly a journal of scientific studies, hahaha!🤣 Even Politico admits they might be a bit left leaning. The fact is that the more left we go as a nation, the more violence there is and the more dangers families face. Rand knew they could get JAMA to print their crap study. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/09/30/how-the-culture-wars-are-fueling-a-rift-between-the-gop-and-the-doctors-lobby-00119211

It's funny that "anti-gun philanthropist" actually sounds like a contradiction in terms. Oh wait, that's because it is! "Anti-gun misanthrope financier" sounds perfectly fine, go ahead and correct the headline, huh?

Any billionaires on our side?

I would like to see someone do a study on how many homicides every year are committed by felons who “legally” shouldn’t have a gun, because felons by law, are prohibited from owning guns!

I would be willing to bet, since gang murders make up a large percentage of annual homicides, that the percentage would be quite large. Which goes to the point that these leftists anti-gun turds don’t really care about the violence, they just don’t want “We the People” to have guns!

1980 Jimmy Carter’s immigration act was implemented. The study uses statistics of mortality starting at 1979 to 2019. The study gives no indication what other factors could affect their conclusion. The paper leaks like a sieve.

Cartels and gangs are violent. We can’t turn a blind eye to the violence that comes in from outside the country nor can we ignore the fact that violence doesn’t stop if guns are taken away. Call me a xenophobe, but we have an underworld of drug trafficking, organized crime, racketeering, extortion, that is violent whether it is from Asia, South America, the Middle East, or Mexico. Studies that fail to take into account immigration in the context of crime are conveniently forgetting how the organized crime in the form of the mafia has impacted America.

When someone is bankrolling gun control on the one hand but also "criminal justice reform", a phrase that usually translates into less prison time for criminals, one the other it is clear that their agenda isn't reducing gun violence at all. Instead the focus shifts away from penalizing those that commit crimes and instead making it more difficult for law abiding citizens to protect themselves and their families by limiting legal access to firearms, opposing concealed carry and stand your ground laws.

As a side note I wouldn't say John Arnold "...was never accused of wrongdoing" at Enron. While not criminally charged, according to Wikipedia (not the most reliable source), he was one of a number of Enron associates who received large cash bonuses right before the company collapsed, $8 million in his case, and he was sued as part of Enron's bankruptcy.

I wonder if the Arnold family has armed private security?

I’ve always said. Follow the money and you’ll find the ASSCORKS! They’re all part of the 4 Horsemen! And most likely wear their colors! Take a look at Great Britain today. We The People have the ability to squash these fools!! But unfortunately with no action, no reward.

In Rand's original "Gun Policy in America: An Overview" report they found that,

"We reviewed thousands of studies to identify all available evidence for the effects of 13 gun policies on eight outcomes. After excluding studies that did not meet our criteria for establishing a law s effects, we found little persuasive evidence for the effects of most policies on most outcomes."

The original report made no mention to the grossly unscientific term, "gun violence". It just studied gun policy and any relationship to violence.

After the Arnold Foundation started funding "gun violence" propaganda, Rand changed the original study and starting finding relationship that didn't previously exist. Most notably, they use the grossly unscientific term "gun violence" throughout the study and even on the Rand website. How sad when scientist sell their integrity for so cheap.

Lee, as always, excellently done piece. This situation with the Arnolds parallels Gates (of hell) and his generosity for "vaccine" research. Or Soros funding of anti-law prosecutors. It is all big money spent to negatively impact the lives and health, or rights of law-abiding citizens. The donors get the results they pay for. Fortunately, many citizens are waking up and refuse to be gaslighted by these "philanthropists" and their cover organizations. Bear in mind, in spite of the people becoming a little more educated, there is no excuse or reason for the patriots who cherish their rights to stop or ease up in exposing these Marxist billionaires.
