After some thinking and some coffee, it occurred to me that and Appleseed event, and M1 Garand shoot, or even as Lee posted a Three-Gun or IDPA shoot could fall under this F.S. 790.29 or similar statues.
The gun club I am a member of does all of the above, and I suppose that if I wanted to re-qualify as I did in the Marines I technically would be violating this regulation.
Curious do we know the other 20ish states that have these laws already? What I see happening is a division in this country between free states and those states that wish to violate their residents Constitutional rights! I forever want to reside in a Free state.

Exactly, Ken. It's just a matter of time before some anti-gun prosecutor decides to make a name for himself.

Florida has one, but it's never been used, thankfully. We'll be addressing it next session.
F.S. 2011, 790.29 Paramilitary training; teaching or participation prohibited. ---
Lee, it looks like all they did was copy and paste 790.29
Yep. We're gonna do something about that!
When you posted FL has one , I somehow wasn't surprised but having the F. S. for firearms handy I looked it up for U.S.
Exactly, Howard!!!
