"When Walz served in Congress from 2007 to 2019, he was an A-rated, NRA-endorsed congressman."
This is a perfect example of something I have been warning gun owners about for years. The single-minded focus on just gun issues has been a great strength of the 2A movement but it will ultimately be the death of the 2A in America. The greatest long term threat to the Second Amendment is not individual pieces of gun control but rather the impact of decades of mass migration changing the U.S. electorate. By ignoring other issues, esp. immigration, the gun rights lobby has lost the war despite winning so many battles.
Anybody that pays attention, even half-heartily, should realize that there is NO Pro-Gun Democrats, or should I post NO Pro-Second Amendment Democrats as the 2A was not about hunting.
Remember this all started with handguns, but when THEY realized that openly going after handguns was not politically viable, THEY pivoted towards semi-autos rifles.
Oh yeah, we always hear the platitudes about "deer hunting", "duck hunting" etc. but this isn't about that. What this is all about is banning firearms, all of them. Once they get the so-called "assault weapons" then it will be your beloved deer (sniper) rifle, oh a repeating shotgun that holds more than three rounds, GONE. If we're lucky we'll be able to keep out double barreled shotguns to shoot skeet with, but by then the EPA will have closed most gun ranges. BTW, per the definition of a semi-automatic firearm as described in Senator Feinstein's assault weapons ban would have included any over and under or double barrel shotgun with a single trigger.
Totally agree. There used to be a few. Sen. Tim Johnson from South Dakota knew he could never come home if he voted for anti-gun legislation. Nowadays, all of that has changed. There are no pro-gun Dems -- period.
Well, at least we know that, but the real problem is that there are too many "I support the Second Amendment but..." Republicans who will vote for this crap, not to mention the ones that vote to confirm judges, etc.
I hope you can do a SHORT factual article on where Harris stands on 2A and 1A. I remember Obama trying to cut our 1A free speech rights back on access to firearm information and data.
