We're facing unprecedented threats
Never have gun owners been in such peril.
Like most freedom loving Americans, I was thrilled when I heard that Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte signed House Bill 102 into law, making Montana the 19th state to allow Constitutional/permitless carry.
However, I hope there will be guns and ammunition for them to carry.
As first reported by Larry Keane at the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Biden Administration has a “1-2 Punch” planned to take out the country’s firearms industry.
The first punch would remove the industry’s access to capital, by allowing “woke” banks to discriminate against gun makers.
The second punch is an effort to get Congress to repeal the bipartisan Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which would open the door to thousands of frivolous lawsuits against gun and ammunition manufacturers.
This is “lawfare,” pure and simple.
If it happens, manufacturers would need to hire more lawyers than gunsmiths working the assembly line.
It will cripple the firearms industry.
Don’t think it will happen?
The Biden administration has already shown it values politics more than jobs. Just look at the Keystone Pipeline debacle, which will put 11,000 people out of work with the stroke of a pen.
You don’t have to dig deep to see what President Biden has in store for the gun community after guns and ammo manufacturers are taken out.
His plan is still there on the campaign website, written in gun-grabber speak.
Some of the doozies include:
Ban the manufacture and sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
Regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act.
Regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act.
Require background checks for all gun sales.
Close “loopholes” that don’t really exist.
Most worrisome for the gun community, is that these insane and inane plans are moving closer to fruition.
On Monday, during a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Biden’s pick for Attorney General, Merrick Garland, said he would support the President’s outrageous anti-gun proposals.
Sen. Mike Lee, a Republican from Utah, asked Garland, “Do you support banning of certain types of firearms?”
Garland, at first, acknowledged that Biden has been a staunch anti-gunner his entire political career, and then said, “The role of the Justice Department is to advance the policy program of the administration as long as it is consistent with the law.
“Where there is room under the law for the president's policies to be pursued, I think the president is entitled to pursue them,” Garland said.
That means that once confirmed, and everyone expects Garland to be confirmed, his Justice Department won’t hinder the President’s anti-gun plans.
My takeaway is this: sure, we can celebrate victories, like Constitutional Carry passing in Montana and moving closer in Indiana. But while we’re focused on winning battles, the administration is focused solely on winning the war.
We need to wake up and understand we’re playing catchup, and we need to refocus our priorities immediately.
If firearms and ammunition manufacturers are forced out of business, that’s it. Game over, and the likelihood of this happening is very high.
In fact, it’s already underway.

I can assure you, nobody would carry these so called "Assault Weapons" into the field of battle. Americans need to understand the importance of our 2nd Amendment. It's the insurance policy for our constitution.
I heard Bank of America has already given info regarding broad firearm purchasing to the DOJ. They will go after the banks first like you said.
