The cool factor is off the charts
The Discreet Concealment Guitar Rifle Case from Cedar Mill Fine Firearms is well made and has an MSRP of $169.99.
I have to disclose something right from the start – I love this product.
I lost all perspective the minute I opened the box.
The Discreet Concealment Guitar Rifle Case from Cedar Mill Fine Firearms is rugged, well made and has a price-point that’s more than fair: MSRP is $169.99.
A good friend asked why I would “need” a guitar-type case for my rifles. To be clear, need has nothing to do with any of my firearm or accessory purchases, but there are legitimate reasons to own one of these discreet concealment cases.
I pointed out that my standard rifle cases all scream “tactical.” Most are black nylon or hard plastic. Some have mag pouches on the exterior. With the Discreet Concealment Guitar Rifle Case, I could walk into the finest hotel and no one would notice or care. This discreet concealment case protects the gun owner from theft and from causing alarm. It keeps you worry-free.
Construction
The Discreet Concealment Guitar Rifle Case is strong – made with 100 kg rivets that provide 220 pounds of working pressure. You will feel its strength when you pick up and carry the case. It’s a beast that was made to absorb punishment while keeping your weapon(s) safe.
It comes with three layers of foam. The internal dimensions are spacious and should fit most tactical firearms. It’s 42-inches long and 13-inches and 17-inches wide. The case comes with four luggage locks, including one that can accept a small padlock, which is included.
Set-up
Cedar Mills’ case comes with easy instructions. It took me about 30 minutes to configure it for my rifle, and it’s an easy process.
I removed the top layer of foam and traced the outline of my rifle on the back of the foam. Then, I started plucking the foam from the middle to the edges. The foam is easy to pluck. I fit my rifle to the hole a few times, but the tracing was accurate so the plucking process was quick and easy.
I configured my case for my Special Op’s Tactical “Bob Keller” signature rifle and two mags. There was no need to collapse the stock, and I had plenty of room left over for other accessories, which I may use later.
I plan to add a few stickers of my favorite bands, which will improve the “hippie camouflage.”
To sum: set-up is easy and quick.
Use
I’ve taken the case to my local range three times. None of my neighbors even batted an eye as I walked it to and from my truck. The only “drawback” occurred at the range. This case tends to draw an admiring crowd when you open it. Everyone who saw it – and I mean everyone -- wanted to know who made it, how much it cost and how they could get one.
Takeaways
I strongly recommend the Discreet Concealment Guitar Rifle Case from Cedar Mill Fine Firearms. It’s very well made and very well priced.
It offers gun owners the ability to go unnoticed.
In addition, the cool factor is off the charts.
Guess I need to learn to play the guitar now.
There was a product similar to this on Amazon a while back, but it disappeared. I definitely need this.
