I question whether this group is paying people to violate their oaths or they are paying people that have already violated their oaths. I'm a veteran but my time in the USN was decades ago. There wasn't as much division between people at the time. I place that result in the camp of having a better educated population. People were taught a broader range of topics instead of the propaganda from a single viewpoint.

There were still those few whose view differed from what is now called the 'Right' or 'Conservative" understanding, but their number was much smaller. The effort needed to achieve what used to be widely considered strong, ethical behavior based on good moral character isn't really that much, but without a balanced introduction and education it can seem that it's a lot.

Today, there seems to be an equal number of people that have had their 'open minds' filled with bullshit and ideals that are contrary to that needed to establish and maintain what is considered by most people to be the best nation ever developed in human history.

The old saying "you can lead a horse to water but can't force him to drink" is appropriate for many things, but most people don't consider that you shouldn't try leading the horse's ass to the water.

That's an odd way of saying that the people who accept payment from this organization aren't going to be swayed by the 'truth' or the 'facts' involved because they never developed the skills required to 'think' and 'rationally consider' the facts they've been presented with.

The other old saying of "you can't fix stupid" isn't always correct, but it takes a great deal of fixing and there are millions of those people that need fixing.

All the while, people who wish to destroy our nation in order to achieve control over its citizens and companies have been working for generations to accomplish their goals.

It seems to me that most of those paid 'influencers' were already violating their oaths and were never made to admit they were doing wrong. That contributed to their lazy, unethical behavior - and now they've found someone to reinforce that behavior for pay.

Sometimes, I get up on that soapbox and don't notice I've been going on for a while. I'll step back now. Y'all have a great day!

This is a good reminder that prior military service doesn't make someone an expert on every topic. While many of the very best of us have served, some of the very worst of us have also served (looking at you John McCain).
