Nice review. I finished my first GST-9 pretty recently. One issue I had was finding a trigger with a shoe that wasn’t just a bit too large for the opening. But overall the build process was fantastic. Much easier to drill precisely with the secure fit, and it really helped having the jig as a guide for the channel work.

A few weeks ago, I ordered my second frame and jig, and had inquired about whether the jig was reusable and the rails and pins available separately. Fortunately I hadn’t gotten started yet so I purchased the infinity jig yesterday and will be returning the other one. Yours is the first review I’ve heard about the Wraith slide, I will definitely consider that for this build.

One thing I’d note: they say that these will fit Glock holsters, and they do, but I’ve found they fit Polymer80 holsters much better. The fit with Glock is good enough if you already own one that you want to use, but if you’re getting a new one, choose Polymer80 (I’m taking model fit, not holster brands).

And I agree, the extended grip is a great feature, although beyond that the choices are fairly limited. I would love to see more model options for this platform, like a single stack frame with the same extended grip for a G43/43X/48 option.

Since I have NO Patience, I've never even given a Build a thought. But after Your article, I now believe it is doable. Is Their an extra easy one to start on Lee? Also, I am in the Market for My 1st AK. I do has an SKS, what would be Your recommendation for buying a 1st AK. So many variables. Who better to ask than an AK Guy????? Thanks Lee.
