The "profit" angle is ridiculous. I've had to sell a gun here and there during hard times, almost always getting more than I paid for it. Is that profit? I was SHOCKED to find that the Colt Python I bought for $300 back in the 80's is now worth several thousand, but is that truly a profit? I've had the gun 40+ years. If I had invested that $300 forty years ago, how much would it be worth today? I've always viewed firearms as a type of investment, since I could usually sell them for quick cash whenever I needed. The ATF needs to be disbanded. Also, I'm going assume any firearms seized will never be returned. Certain people will cherry pick the good pieces and the rest will be ceremonially destroyed for propaganda purposes.

Totally agree! Gun prices can increase dramatically.

Yes, I was just thinking the same thing.

As you posted, we have some Winchester Model 94 Carbines that because of market value as well as inflation that would sell for more than we paid..

My then-$150 Nagant revolver could probably fetch 3-4 times that, some 13 years later. That would apparently make me a war profiteering arms dealer in the eyes of the ATF.

How about all the collectible firearms handed down from generations? Eventually they're going to be sold. 100% profit.

Ah yes well, you thought you were selling *your* guns, but is there such a thing as "your gun?" Are you an ATF employee? Ah, I thought not. Ok, you know the drill, face down on the floor, hands behind your head, while the real owners examine your collection.

Never, ever sell your guns. One day your neighbors may need one to defend their family from jackboot agencies that should have been defunded by Trump.

The real travesty here is that these two gentlemen were even indicted by a Grand Jury, on top of the ATF accusations.

The biggest reason I never acquired a C & R License is that I realized that sooner or later, THEY were going to be targeted by the bureaucrats at ATF.

There's a common legal saying that a grand jury could indict a potato. I agree with it wholeheartedly.

The Grand Jury was "originally" a Protection for citizens from Grubmint Abuse.

"Citizens" are no longer relevant, being reduced to Peasants that Obey their Commissars here in the USSA.

Bondi oh Bondi where are you ??? on Faux Newz, trying out for that anchor position after 2028.

What could possibly go wrong with the Army Sec. (who has nothing else on his desk) running the ATF ???

Nothing, I mean Nothing is beyond the ATF/FIB "heroes" after Waco. The Gestapo would be impressed. I Spit.

I have always heard that expression as, "A grand jury could indict a ham sandwich" but yes potato, ham sandwich same thing.

I practice in rural Missouri. I don't do federal cases, just state, and I've never had a grand jury. Felony cases get a preliminary hearing that just requires the prosecutor to show it's more likely than not a felony was committed in the jurisdiction and that the accused was more likely than not the one who did it. And if a prosecutor indictes a ham sandwich, yes, the associate judge will find probable cause and send it along.

Meanwhile how many shootings have happened in Missouri already this year, probably none with lever action rifles? Four days ago 5 people were shot, one fatally, in Saint Louis. Perhaps that crime would be more concerning that some old guys selling hunting rifles at gun shows.

Saint Louis ! Gangs ! that shoot back ??? that's not the job of the ATFers. Old Men and of coure "law abiding" citizens are easy. Kicking doors and murdering an airport executive sure set their Goals higher in Little Rock.

Keep waiting for the FIB to investigate the ATF, that's a good one !!! Ridiculous to even say it.

They love to dress up as tacticool warriors and kick down doors where they know they won't be shot at but going after actual criminals is too scary for them.

I think there's a certain type of person who is truly more disturbed by civilians owning guns with legal and social acceptability, than they are by gangbangers committing violent crime. The latter doesn't violate their worldview.

Yes, these older citizens should recieve full pardons and their property returned or compensation in full issued. DOGE should investigate this squandering of taxpayer money.

Charging these men is a travesty of justice. Instead, our President and country should honor these two gentlemen for keeping American traditions of private firearms sales alive and exercising their honorable Second Amendment rights.

This is sad. I think Bondi has to stop with all FOX NEWS appearances and get down to arresting the criminals and freeing the innocent hostages!

Unfortunately the prior criminal administration has left us with such a troubling tsunami of corruption to control, it’s like trying to tackle Mount Everest with a single ice pick..
